Pan-seared Tuna Steaks with Cilantro Sauce

  • 4 6-oz. tuna steaks
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, seeds removed, and minced
  • 2 tbsps. lime or lemon juice
  • 2 tbsps. soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Step 1

To prepare the sauce, mix the cilantro, jalapeno, lime or lemon juice, soy sauce, and olive oil in a blender. Pulse until texture is thick and slushy. Set aside the sauce

Step 2

Season the tuna steaks with a pinch of salt and pepper on both sides. In a skillet, sear the tuna steaks in olive oil for 2-3 minutes on each side, longer if you prefer it well done.

Step 3

Then, when serving, drizzle cilantro sauce over the tuna steaks. Enjoy!
