French Toast

  • 6 large eggs
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 ¾-inch-thick slices brioche, or white bread
  • 2 tbsps. butter
  • Pure maple syrup, or powdered sugar (for serving)


Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Transfer egg mixture into a deep shallow dish.

Step 2

Dip each slice of brioche or white bread into the egg mixture. Make sure that both sides of the bread absorbs the mixture.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the butter. Once the butter is melted, fry the dipped bread slices 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Serve with maple syrup, or dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
