Creamy Mushroom Soup

  • 4 tbsp. of butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • ½ tsp liquid seasoning or soy sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


Step 1

Melt butter in a soup pot over medium heat. Add the onion and mushroom, and sauté until tender. Add the garlic, and sauté until garlic is light brown. Sprinkle some salt and pepper.

Step 2

Add the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring continuously. Slowly pour the broth into the mixture, and bring to a boil. Then, lower the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, and stir occasionally.

Step 3

Whisk in the heavy cream and the seasoning. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the soup has thickened. Serve with toasted bread if desired. Enjoy!
