Classic Crème brûlée

Ingredients

  • 8 egg yolks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tbsp. vanilla extract

Method

Step 1

Heat the heavy cream, milk and the vanilla. (do not boil it). Whisk together the sugar and the egg yolks until they almost turn white. Pour the hot creammixture over the sugar mixture and put in the fridge until its cold. ( best is over night)

Step 2

Fill the mixture into ramekins or dish of your choise, bake in the oven on 210f / 100c until the creme brulee is set and doesn't vobble around when you touch it, cool them down. Put some cane sugar ontop of each brulee until the surface is covered and carefuly burn it with a blow torch, until the surface is golden brown. Serve it like it is or with some berries. Enjoy
